GRAPHIC CARD BENCHMARK WITCHER 3 UPDATEAnd it being CDPR, perhaps we'll get an update later on as more powerful hardware becomes available like we did with Witcher 2. Don't get me wrong, I love quality graphics, but I can also forgive some graphical shortcomings if game play is fun. There also appears to be evidence that the graphics were downgraded, perhaps they did that so people could actually play the game? I'll get hate for saying that, but imagine what they were getting frame rate wise prior to the alleged downgrade. Fast forward to today, we have the Witcher 3, who's map size is supposedly 3.5 times BIGGER than Skyrim. I had the equivalent of 4 of the higher end gpus at the time and still couldn't break 60fps. I remember using 2 dual gpu cards (9800GX2) back when Crysis came out and I think I got 54fps once. This isn't the first time a game has been released that gamers have trouble maxing out on the hardware available. Also, the GTX 960 outperforms the 780, which has to hurt for a lot of people. ![]() The 290X is nipping at the heals of the $550 GTX980 (which still fails to achieve even 50fps) and beating the 780Ti on a Nvidia Gameworks game? Wow. GRAPHIC CARD BENCHMARK WITCHER 3 SERIESThe people that SHOULD be the most upset are the 700 series Nvidia owners. The fact that it is running neck and neck with the GTX970 on a Nvidia Gameworks creation makes me proud to have one. I know its AMD's flagship card, but its also over 2 years old. I'm sure with a decent overclock and little tweaking and removal of certain settings that don't hugely affect graphics you'll get 60 fps with a 290X and maybe around 40 with a 285. GRAPHIC CARD BENCHMARK WITCHER 3 FULLRyzen 5 2400G is a very reliable processor, which, combined with a neat GPU, will easily handle all new titles on high settings and in Full HD resolution without the risk of dipping below 60 fps.Seems to be a lot of discontent over the fact that even a 290X won't get 60 fps and a 285 can't quite touch 30. As I mentioned at the beginning – it will be enough to run CS:GO or Fortnite, and in 2-3, months you can save up for more parts. It's worth noting that if you don't want to take a loan or spend more than $1000 on a one-time purchase of a gaming PC, you can assemble the proposed set and then buy a powerful graphics card (or even search for a used one). GRAPHIC CARD BENCHMARK WITCHER 3 PCTo the price of these components, you should also add about $100 for a decent PSU and a PC case. Prices of SSDs are constantly decreasing, which is a good sign because they’re a single component that can really reinvigorate your computer. However, if you have insufficient funds, you can save up to 30~50 bucks when searching for a decent SSD. We've installed a fast and capacious Kingston SSD (also to save some time while installing various games during our tests), which, at $60, is a no-brainer. “Ok,” you say, “but that means I can forget The Witcher 3 or Battlefield 5, right?” Well, not necessarily. Although building a PC with integrated graphics card may seem a bit… neurotic, I will try to make the point that it is a viable, reasonable solution for some gamers. If you want to save a lot of money, checking some post-lease PC offers is another interesting alternative – but not everyone is brave enough to buy second-hand equipment. So maybe completely giving up the GPU when buying a new rig isn’t crazy after all? Anyway, buying a lower-profile GeForce GTX 1050 or Radeon RX 560 doesn't make much sense, even though they cost around $100. If you're a typical casual player, who has regular deatchmatch dates with CS:GO or Fortnite, you won't need a powerful GPU at all. Not all players are so passionate and willing to spend at least 220 bucks for a decent dedicated video card. Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 offers a decent price-performance ratio, but not everyone needs a video card for $219. ![]()
